Another top Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from Whitehaven

The compelling Mansion House Bay line is produced by Whitehaven Wines, Blenheim, Marlborough. The grapes for the Mansion House Bay Sauvignon Blanc come predominantly (82%) from ‘The Narrows’ vineyard in the upper Wairau Valley.

They were harvested by machine in the cool evening hours. After minimal skin contact, they were pressed immediately after. After settling the suspended solids, alcoholic fermentation took place in, stainless steel tank. The clear juice was thereby fermented at low temperatures with selected yeast strains to preserve the aromas of the grape variety.

And this is how the Mansion House Bay Sauvignon tastes

The Mansion House Bay Sauvignon Blanc has a seductive nose of stone fruit and apple, underpinned with grapefruit, nettle and delicate herbs. The palate is medium-bodied and very juicy, with animating acidity and plenty of pure fruit. The citrus and nettle flavors continue through the long, refreshing finish.

And to match the Mansion House Bay Sauvignon Blanc

Try Mansion House Bay Sauvignon Blanc with fresh seafood, including Marlborough’s famous green-shelled mussels, summer salads, poultry and classic goat cheese. We love it with grilled green asparagus and rice-stuffed peppers. We also think this wine is a fantastic aperitif wine before the grilling really gets going.
