FELTON ROAD – CONSISTENTLY ECOLOGICAL

Felton Road Wines is located in Bannockburn, in the heart of Central Otago. It was founded in 1991 by Stewart Elms (hence the elm in the logo). His extensive research identified the north-facing slopes at the end of Felton Road, Bannockburn as one of the warmest and most ideal locations in Central Otago for the cultivation and production of premium wine. The modern, gravity-powered winery receives 100% grapes from the four vineyards “MacMuir”, “The Elms”, “Calvert” and “Cornish Point”, all of which are biodynamically cultivated. Minimal interventions in winemaking, such as .B wild yeast, no fining or filtration, allow the unique characters of the vineyards to further express their considerable personality. Since its first vintage in 1997, Felton Road Wines has earned an excellent reputation worldwide. With the full Demeter certification of all four vineyards in 2010 and the BioGro certification in 2020, the development of this flagship winery was further dynamic.
