SHOW FILTERS

A white grape variety from France, grown preferably in Alsace, where it is sometimes called Clevner or Klevner. In Germany and Austria, it is known as Weisseburgunder. In Italy, it is called Pinot Bianco and is widely grown in Friuli Venezia Giulia, South Tyrol and Veneto. At its peak, the Pinot Blanc grape variety produces light to medium-bodied, crisp, dry white wines with notes of apples, pears and honey, with slightly yeasty tones with a refreshingly clean finish. In the cooler wine-growing regions of the New World, for example in New Zealand, the great potential of Pinot Blanc is being discovered more and more.
