Founded in 1991 by Eddy Gurinskas, Lakeview Cellars is the signature line of Diamond Estates Wines and Spirits Ltd, Ontario’s third largest producer of VQA wines. The team at Lakeview Cellars prides itself on producing unique and exquisite wines from the Niagara region that are high quality yet affordable. The grapes for Lakeview Cellars wines are sourced from some of the best vineyards in the Niagara Region. These are always kissed by a lake breeze from Lake Ontario. The influence of the lake ensures a more temperate climate than in the surrounding area. As a result, the grapes grown here are of the highest quality, resulting in intense aromas and complexity in the wines produced. Lakeview has proven to be a reliable producer of premium wines in the Niagara region, known for aromatic whites, powerful Bordeaux-style reds and luscious ice wines. This reputation comes from the winery’s philosophy of producing premium VQA wines at affordable prices.

CANADIAN HOSPITALITY IS A TOP PRIORITY

Directly connected to the almost 4,000 square meter wine production halls and cellar, visitors can book extensive wine tastings in the test center and visit the wine cellar. Here you can taste Lakeview’s fine wines, from juicy whites to powerful Cabernet Sauvignon, which, according to founder Eddy Gurinskas, only shows optimally integrated tannins after a maturation period of 4 to 5 years. In the wine cellar, most visitors are amazed when they walk through a huge canyon of over 800 barrels. A visit to the training center guarantees an unforgettable experience with lots of information about winemaking. THE WEINMAKER TEAM

The Lakeview Winemakers are deeply rooted in the Niagara region. The successful team is led by Scott McGregor, who was born and raised in the region. He is supported by Lexi Kozel. There is no doubt that they know the unique qualities of the area and how best to utilize them. It’s in their DNA. This is particularly important when selecting the grapes that meet the requirements for their wines. To say that they are exceptional winemakers is an understatement. With over 25 years of winemaking experience between them, this talented duo have won more than 150 regional, national and international wine awards.
