The best of four vineyards

Felton Road’s unique gravity cellar also comes into its own when creating this exceptional Pinot. No interventions in the wine by mechanical pumping, but only use of gravity when transferring from one container to the next. After the manual harvest, the gentle destemming followed, with 20 percent whole grapes being macerated. Only indigenous yeasts were used for fermentation. After fermentation, this red wine was aged for 13 months in 30 percent new and used French oak barrels, produced in Bourgogne. Fining and filtration of the wine before bottling was dispensed with.

And this is how the Bannockburn Pinot Noir from Felton Road tastes

From the glass of Felton Road Bannockburn Pinot Noir flows the seductive scent of ripe raspberries, accompanied by floral notes and a hint of cedar wood. On the palate, this wine is dense and concentrated, showing nuts and a delicate seasoning. Present, fine-grained tannins and an animating, well-integrated acidity. A wonderfully balanced and elegant Pinot, with good drinking flow and a lasting finale.

And the Bannockburn Pinot Noir from Felton Road goes with it

The Felton Road Bannockburn Pinot Noir works as a soloist, for a hearty snack with sausages and especially with game and wild fowl. Try it for roast venison with napkin dumplings and red cabbage.
