A classic and multifaceted Sauvignon Blanc

The grapes for this wonderful Sauvignon Blanc are grown on the Home and Morison Vineyards. The grapes were harvested on several plots to ensure a spectrum and balance of aromas. Although mainly fermented in the tank with a selection of aromatic yeasts, a small percentage of the juice, with a high solids content, was fermented wild in barrels. This proportion contrasts clearly with the fruity freshness and varietal purity of the batch fermented in the tank. Largely hidden in the overall blend, however, there is an implied layer of texture and dimension that contributes to the finished wine.

And this is how The Sauvignon Blanc from Greenhough Vineyard tastes

The Greenhough Sauvignon Blanc beguiles with lush, bright aromas of floral citrus fruits, fresh passion fruit, melon, spices and a beguiling herbal scent. The palate has an appealing width, a juicy core of soft citrus fruits and rock melon, which suggests a certain sweetness, although it is really dry in style. A fine, mineral acidity balances and refreshes this fruity, almost creamy mouthfeel, which ends with a hint of aromatic spice. A characterful Sauvignon Blanc from Nelson.

2018 Greenhough Sauvignon Blanc

And that goes well with Sauvignon Blanc from Greenhough Vineyard

The Greenhough Sauvignon Blanc is great as a soloist and is an ideal accompaniment to summer salads, vegetable dishes, asparagus, fish and seafood, poultry or risotto, but also to Asian dishes, especially sushi.
