Minimal intervention, maximum enjoyment

The grapes for Claymore’s Purple Rain Sauvignon Blanc come from prime locations in the Adelaide Hills. Due to the altitude, the grapes retain their natural acidity and result in fresh, fruity white wines. A lot of emphasis is placed on the optimal length of skin contact and thus the ideal extraction of the aromas. Otherwise, you intervene as little as possible in the winemaking. The result is a very harmonious Sauvignon Blanc, which is ideal both as a soloist and as a food accompaniment.

And this is how the Claymore Purple Rain Sauvignon Blanc tastes

From the glass of Claymore Purple Rain Sauvignon Blanc immediately flows a delicate, exotic fragrance. Passion fruit, kiwi and fresh meadow herbs are immediately on the nose, in addition to hints of gooseberry and freshly mown grass. On the palate, the Sauvignon is light-footed, clear and perfectly balanced. The acid is animating and well integrated. An uncomplicated wine that brings a lot of drinking pleasure.

And the Claymore Purple Rain Sauvignon Blanc goes well with it

The Claymore Purple Rain Sauvignon Blanc is already great as an aperitif, or with Mediterranean antipasti, light fish dishes and seafood. Try it with summer salads, for example with gratinated goat cheese. Or with grilled fish fillets with capers and herb butter and steamed mussels with garlic.
